  • CONSOLIDATED Traffic Bylaw 11 20

    That Bylaw 11/20 be amended as follows:

  1. 37. MAXIMUM SPEED
    37.1 No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed greater than 40 km/h within the general municipality and 30 km/h in school ground, playground areas and other designated areas as shown in Schedule C, unless otherwise posted by signage.  
  2. Schedule C : 30 KM ZONES
     - Adjacent to the 7th Avenue School on 7th Ave East from 1st Street East to 3rd Street East
     - Adjacent to the Elementary School on 4th Street East from 7th Ave East to Assiniboia Ave
     - Adjacent to the Assiniboia Composite High School on 3rd Street West from Bell Road
     - Adjacent to the Assiniboia Child Care Centre on 4th Avenue East & 4th Street East 
     - Adjacent to the Golden South Childcare Centre on 3rd Street West
     - Adjacent to the Post Office & the Hayley & Cayden Memorial Park on 4th Ave West 

 

Protective Services Cost Recovery Bylaw 13/20

Council adopted Bylaw 13/20, known as the Protective Services Cost Recovery Bylaw, which states that the cost of fire prevention, suppression and emergency response services shall be charged directly on the persons who receive the services in accordance with rates contained within the Fees and Charges Bylaw.  and amended with Bylaw 14 20.  We encourage all property owners to contact their insurance provider to discuss your policy coverage.  These rates will be effective January 1st, 2021 to provide property owners time to ensure their policies are sufficient to meet their needs. 

False Alarm Fees- (1st call free, 2nd call free with written warning)   

                                    3rd call $200.00

                                    4th call  $400.00

                                    Subsequent calls   Double

Fire Prevention, suppression & emergency response services - $938/hr to a maximum charge of $10,000 per incident.
