APPEALING TO BOARD OF REVISION

The Assessment Notices were mailed out April 16, 2021 and therefore the Appeal period for Assessments is now open expiring June 16, 2021 at
4 pm

APPEALING YOUR ASSESSMENT

If after you have spoken with an appraiser, you still feel your assessment is incorrect, you can submit the completed signed form attached to your assessment.  The appeal must be filed within 60 days of the date of mailing along with the appeal fee of $100 to the Town of Assiniboia Office otherwise the appeal will be deemed dismissed.  The assessor at the Town Office will then forward your appeal to the Secretary of the Board of Revision.

**If you as the appellant fail to appear either personally or by an agent to the Board of Revision Hearing, the board may hear and decide on the appeal in the absence of the party, or they may dismiss the appeal without a hearing. The decision of the Board of Revision is final and no appeal may be taken by the appellant from that decision.

CHANGE YOUR MIND?

An appellant may withdraw an appeal by providing written notice at least 15 days before the appeal is to be heard by the Board of Revision. Please provide written notice to the Town of Assiniboia Office as indicated above.  Your $100 appeal fee will be returned to you after the withdraw request is received.
