MEETING FOR TEAS: ON THE ROAD TO DECOLONIZATION
A celebration of teas, Meeting for Teas: On the Road to Decolonization, will occur at Shurniak Gallery from Sept 15 to 17. Vancouver tea master, Bryan Mulvihill, will introduce audiences of all ages to multicultural tea gatherings in an entertaining interactive style. Complimentary samples of teas and treats will be served. Indigenous tea traditions and an interpretive walk will be led by Lakota educator Kim Soo Goodtrack. Chinese and Indian artists will present tea ceremonies from their cultures. A Mad Hatter Children's Tea with costumes and puppet show runs Saturday morning. Meeting for Teas is a joint project with the University of Saskatchewan.
