The Assiniboia & District Museum is owned by the Town of Assiniboia and operated under Community Services. The management of the facility is performed by the Assiniboia and District Historical Society.
The Assiniboia & District Museum is an active member of Museum Association of Saskatchewan. The Museum is conveniently located at 506 3rd Avenue West.
The Assiniboia & District Museum's theme is the growth of Assiniboia, specifically using Main Street as the example, from its first residents in 1912 to modern day. It is the most modern and one of the most impressive museums in south central Saskatchewan.
Much of the heritage of Western Canada traces its roots through the Assiniboia district. A stroll down the boardwalk will bring you back in time to our prairie town of 1912. Meet the pioneers, our forefathers, who braved the elements and had the courage to embark on a journey across the vast prairie to the unknown.

Within these walls, the Museum salutes the visionaries of our past.
The museum also houses 17 vintage cars from 1916 –64, a large pictorial history and photo archive collection of the area, with a Pole Shed in the yard with agricultural machinery among the many more interesting things to see.
